Activated carbon, in granules or plates, absorbs acidic pollutants contained in the ambient air and neutralizes them.
In fact, neutral paper exposed to urban pollution will see its pH drop substantially over time.
To reduce the impact of acidification caused by pollutants, an alkaline reserve must be inserted into the paper during manufacturing or activated carbon must be used to keep it in a neutral atmosphere, such as a packaging box, display case or sealed cabinet.
This activated carbon, integrated into filters, is also effective in extractor hoods to absorb solvents used by restaurateurs. Available in granules without impregnation and in fabric impregnated on 1 side per m2 (width of 1 m).
